If Loftia puts a heavy CPU load on your computer during shader preparation, check that the October 21 demo update is installed. That patch reduced maximum CPU usage during shader preparation. It did not publish a temperature target or guarantee that every machine’s thermal problem was resolved.
Identify the affected loading stage
Shader preparation is the specific stage named by the change. A slowdown in town, a crash while travelling with friends, and a hot CPU during loading are different symptoms; do not assume the shader change fixes all three.

Record whether the problem happens only during preparation or continues after entering the world. This distinction helps determine whether your report matches the patched behavior.
What the update does and does not establish
| Confirmed | Not established |
|---|---|
| Maximum CPU usage during shader preparation was reduced | A universal safe temperature for every CPU |
| The change applies to the demo loading process | A guaranteed FPS increase during gameplay |
| The team addressed the loading workload | A diagnosis of your cooling system or hardware |
High usage alone is not a temperature measurement. If you are reporting overheating, include the CPU model, the observed temperature and whether the computer shuts down or the game crashes. Describe the observation rather than inferring hardware damage.
If the problem remains after updating
Send a bug report with the loading stage and hardware details. There is no verified Loftia-specific instruction here to delete shader caches, disable security tools, change BIOS settings or alter CPU voltage. The supported game-side action is to use the updated build and report a remaining reproducible problem.
